Zürich

I am delighted to announce that I have decided to join IBM’s Global Advanced Prototyping Team which originated in the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab to strengthen IBM as a preferred innovation partner by building client-centric prototypes from cutting-edge research and thus maximizing our lab-to-market impact. I will focus on being a catalyst for new Enterprise AI capabilities enabled by foundation models and transition into IBM Research Europe in Zurich (Rüschlikon) in early February. In addition, I will also remain a member of the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab for the foreseeable future due to my ongoing collaborations. Below are a few images of Zurich (licensed from Alamy):

Boston, Cambridge & MIT

My office in Cambridge was exactly on the opposite side of the river – here are two videos capturing the view over the MIT campus and Boston skyline:

Before IBM Research AI Cambridge and the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab I worked for the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Besides campus I also liked my apartment:

Aachen is an equally beautiful and historically relevant city even outside the RWTH campus. Here are a few impressions [licensed from Pond5]:
